Game Project Wonderworld

Meaningful play in the world of Wonder.

Project Wonderworld is more than a game – at best it’s a hobby, an impact platform and a cultural phenomenon.

Project Wonderworld promotes engagement, commitment and the development of crucial future skills such as creative thinking, social skills and entrepreneurship. At the heart of the game is our core philosophy that no one is left out, everyone matters, and that everyone is part of a wider group and community.

Project Wonderworld turns any physical location into a gaming hub full of mysterious characters & intriguing quests, through which the players learn, develop and grow without even noticing.

Completing quests in the physical world allows players to advance in the digital game, where they can grow their home building or customize the space shuttle that flies them between their home planet and the community planet.

Wonderworld skillset

Curiosity & resilience
Some quests may take only couple of minutes, others weeks or months, but they always require the players to explore their physical surroundings. Some quests might require visits to other hubs or depend on the progress of others.
Collaboration & social skills
Completing quests might require collaborating with other players, characters or game hub staff members - so called Game Masters. Alongside personal quests, everyone contributes to the shared Wonderworld planet through community quests.
Problem-solving & logical thinking
Just like in real life, in Wonderworld things aren’t always simple – non playable characters can be tricky to understand or some resources or items might not be available. Brainstorming with other players always helps!
Creativity & futures thinking
Sometimes there isn’t just one right solution to a problem – problems can be tackled in several ways. How the player decides to solve a problem affects how the game progresses.

Hubs of Wonder

The game continues from one hub to another – each hub has its own distinct features and characteristics. Players are part of one big and global community, regardless of which hub they are visiting!

The hubs can be anything – public spaces such as libraries, shopping malls or outdoor playgrounds, educational spaces such as schools or museums, non-profit community houses or commercial stores – any safe space, anywhere in the world that attracts children from 7-8+ years is a potential window into the world of Wonder.

Game development is done in collaboration with our own community house's team, which means that we get to test and develop our game with nearly 300 players between the ages of 7 and 12.
